About Eric

The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.
— Dorothea Lange

I am a former Art major turned Poli Sci grad who ultimately found himself owning and running a successful corporate tax consultancy for the past 15 years.  Although I strayed from my artistic roots to make a living, photography has always remained a creative outlet for me.  In recent years, it has become something that I want to explore in more depth.  The idea with this website was to create a place where I can post the results of that exploration.

Why "Everything Else Photography?"  Well, I'm not really into formal posing and "smile for the camera" photography.  I feel like the safe and traditional approach to settings and techniques just isn't that exciting.  I tried to figure out a way to convey what it is that I like to shoot.  The best description I could come up with was, "Everything Else."

If you have made it this far and are interested in getting together for a shoot, I would love to hear from you. If you have an idea for a great photo or series, I would welcome the chance to collaborate with you to make that happen.  Or, if you just want to jump in and see what we come up with, I'm open for that as well (some of my best stuff has come from spontaneous sessions like that...).

Information about how to contact me is on the Contact page (which just seemed like the best place to put it). Thanks for stopping by!
